Custom Photography

Vivid color, strong lines, intimate approach, a fleeting moment of time made solid.

We capture everyday ordinary moments of life - we make those elusive moments solid. We also capture the everyday moments that occur during extraordinary events like family celebrations and weddings.

Our style is informal, spontaneous, photo journalistic.  We enter into the moment with you. We use locations and backgrounds that are meaningful to you rather than use studio backdrops. We are there when you open the birthday gifts.  We ski down the hill with you so we can capture all the glory of the day. We look for what is often overlooked - like the bride's ballet slippers. And we respect all involved. The little baby girl is only a few hours old in the photo but rather than blind her little eyes with a flash, we let her sleep. We don't force the photo.

After the photo shoot we digitally touch up photos as needed. You have the option to receive the photos on CD or to purchase prints.

Most of our custom work is done by referral, but if you like our philosophy contact us and we will see if we can work together.

Digital Editing & Retouching

One of our favorite stories of digital retouching involves senior pictures and really bad acne. Our client's son was suffering from some really bad breakouts during his senior photos. We retouched the photos and instead of red blotchy skin their blue-eyed son was smiling from ear to ear.

We use Photoshop CS2 for editing and as a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals we are up to date on the latest tips and techniques. Take a look at our photographer's NAPP portfolio.
